After the 3 bad breaks for the Junior Section here is news of a tremendous good break.
Whilst playing in the Junior Competition on Saturday 19/9/9 Kirsty Brodie broke 100 for the first time on the Ranneleroch Course. Her outstanding 99 included an excellent 5 on the 14th where Kirsty was disappointed after hitting her 3rd shot to a couple of feet not to hole the putt and secure her birdie.
Well done Kirsty and congratulations in knocking 4 shots off your handicap.
Oh no another break
Euan Robb is the latest casualty making it 3 and hopefully the last . At PE on Friday whilst running backwards ( not a good idea) Euan fell and broke his wrist and is now in plaster !
Be carefull out there

Cameron was playing rugby when he had his accident and not only has he broken his arm but he has also torn ligaments as well.

We wish you a very speedy recovery Cameron and hope you can come along on Sunday 18th for the Junior Prize giving.

Yesterday was the second ever Junior Captains Day and what a great day was had by all. Unfortunately due to University commitments our Junior Captain Grant Martin was unable to attend but did send his best wishes and congratulations to the winners.
The winning team was Kirsty Brodie, Brad Bannerman, Euan Robb and Mark Scott. Well done team! Nearest the pin for under 12's was Kirsty Brodie, longest driver under 12's was Matthew Sime, Longest Driver for over 12's was Frankie Moran however as no one managed to land on the green on the 9th there was no winner for the Nearest the pin over 12's.
After the Texas scramble all juniors had food and juice in the Club House. Well done to all who took part and to Iain and Jackie for organising the event and to Frank Sime, Dawn Sime, Lindsay Robb and Frank Moran who came along to help on the day. But especially all of the players for supporting the junior events. SCROLL DOWN TO THE SLIDESHOW OF ALL THE WINNERS!

Final Scratch League match 2009 season ends with a 4:1 win over Auchterarder at Strathmore on Sunday 30th August.
After a great win over Auchterarder which also saw Brad Bannerman making a successful debut winning his match 5:4 Strathmore Juniors secured 3rd position in their group narrowly failing to reach the semi final stages.
I would like to thank all the players who represented the section this season and look forward to next year when the battle for places will really hot up with possibly 12 players competing for the 5 starting places in every match.
I would like to thank Grant Martin for his committment to the Scratch Team and also to the Junior Section during his year as Junior Captain and we all wish Grant every success when he starts his University Course at Herriot Watt this week and look forward to seeing him around the club when he returns home from his studies.
