WHAT A FINISH TO YOUR YEAR HANNAH!!

Hannah Robb has had the most fantastic golfing season. She has not only reduced her handicap by 17 full shots to 11 but won many junior and ladies events along the way. Hannah has not come by this extraordinary reduction without hours and hours of practice and dedication and this has not gone unnoticed by Perth and Kinross Ladies County Golf Association when, today, she has been awarded with the greatest county accolade a junior member can obtain, a scholarship at Gleneagles Golf Academy for 2010.

We are sure that Hannah will take full advantage of this fabulous opportunity and will follow in the footsteps of Annabel Niven, Roseanne Niven, Emily Ogilvy and of course +3 handicapper Carly Booth who have all gone on to represent Scotland.

Hannah is not the first member of our section to be granted scholarship, sisters Emily and Megan Aird have both also been awarded this accolade. We are all very proud of all these girls and their achievements.

Have a great year Hannah!!

JUNIOR AGM AND PRIZE GIVING

Yesterday was the Junior AGM and Prize giving. The day began with a fun Texas Scramble over the Leitfie Course and luckily enough the weather was very good and everyone enjoyed the day. Iain and Jackie were on hand to help and organise the day.

Following a hard fought scramble we all assembled at the club house where junior convenor Iain read out all the achievements the juniors accomplished which was an indeed an amazing amount. Not only have you all done well at home but also at County and National level. You have all been amazing and certainly put Strathmore on the map. Well done to you all.

Then following the AGM the prize giving began and we are so very lucky to have so many fantastic trophies which have been donated to the junior section. To everyone who was lucky enough to be presented with a trophy very well done and to all other members we hope you have had an enjoyable year.

Below are some photo's from the day. If you would like a copy please let me know.

Emily Aird finished an excellent 13th with 30 stableford points over the Queens Course at Gleneagles today and our other finalist Hannah Robb finished 20th with 26 points well done to both.

We also extend our good wishes to both girls who are playing this week at Dornoch. Will keep you posted of their progress.
GOOD LUCK EMILY AND HANNAH

The Dunfermline Junior Masters final takes place today over the Queens Course at Gleneagles. There are four P&K girls who have made the finals and we are delighted that two of them are from Strathmore. They are Emily Aird and Hannah Robb. Emily will tee of at 9.24am then Hannah at 9.42.

To make it to the final of the national junior competition is a fantastic achievement for the girls and we wish them all the very best of luck. I will let you know the results later in the day.

CONGRATULATIONS MATTHEW

Warm congratulations go to our youngest 'summer leaguer' as he has run away with the J. Scott Summer League Trophy this season with a brilliant score of 279! Matthew's score is 19.5 points better than his nearest rival! Fantastic scoring. Obviously this has reflected in Matthew's handicap which has reduced by 9 full shots from 26 to 17. Brilliant for any one but even more incredible from a player who has not long celebrated his 6th birthday.

In second place with a very credible score of 298.5 was Callum Ewan. Callum has also had a great season reducing his from 30 to 28. Well done!!

In third position was Brad Bannerman who just pipped his brother Todd with a score of 320.

Well done to all who took part and remember Winter League starts on Sunday!!

Have fun!
