FLYING HIGH

Great to see so many youngsters out playing again today. Highlight today was Rory who had his first ever birdie. What made it extra special is he is only 5 and has never had a par. Had another 2 enquiries for membership and a call from a Northern Club regarding how to run the Club Hire Scheme.

BUSY SATURDAY

First up Rosie and Fraser upgraded their Hire Sets and were both keen to get out and put them to the test. They certainly showed the benefit of playing with the right equipment Fraser set a pb by knocking 12 shots off last weeks score and Rosie attained her first Certificate and Fun Handicap. Jack not only attained his 2nd Certificate but had his first handicap reduction in the process. So many youngsters were out playing today, both on Leitfie and Rannaleroch. Some were out playing for fun and others for Winter League. Some were out with their parents and it’s great to see so many families out so often. We also welcomed Cormac back today who re joined the section where he started playing as a 5 year old. It will be great for others to witness the progress the 16 year old Scottish Internationalist has made. Great to have him back although he was always along practicing at the range anyway. Hopefully his influence will rub off on others and encourage the younger players. Dawn and I had the pleasure of James joining us for a couple of rounds this week and we had great fun and the improvements he has made are impressive. Keir and Rory are both continuing to put in very consistent cards and it’s great to see these young lads out. Archie was been practicing very hard and both him and Kirsten have been using extra coaching to assist them over the winter. Pictured below is James with his new 4 wheel Hire Scheme trolley and the latest Covid regulations.
