CALLING ALL GIRLS

Girls of all ages and ability are being invited to join the P&K County Girls, beginners through to elite players are all provided for and have such a lot of fun. Below is the copy of the letter inviting girls to join from the County Captain Lenore Kyle. Dear Parent

Perth and Kinross Ladies County Golf Association have a very active Junior Section for girls aged from eight to eighteen. The girls have access to coaching initially by Niall McGill at Noah’s Ark in Perth and for the more advanced girls at Gleneagles Golf Academy.

The County also organises three competitions through the playing season in which the girls can compete whatever their ability. When the girls achieve a handicap of 28 or less they are eligible to compete in the main county meetings of which there are eight through the playing year at clubs throughout P&K.

If your daughter is at all interested in golf we will be delighted to have her as a county member. It is a great opportunity to meet other girl golfers of her own age which sometimes is not possible in the club environment as many clubs have very few girls playing.

The county also leads on to national coaching and the Scottish Golf Academy, so there are many opportunities for talented youngsters. However if the girls just play golf for enjoyment and social interaction then we are delighted to give them this option.

FIXTURES 2011

We have now confirmed the Junior Competitions for 2011. You will find a full list on the right hand side of this post under Pages then Fixtures.

Please note that when you do get your Fixture Cards from the office that there is one amendment - Junior Captains Drive in and Junior Captains Day will be held on the same day and there will be a buffet provided for all competitors following play.
