GREAT TURNOUT

Six of us played today and honours go to Brad, Tod and Michael Davie who beat Louise, Callum and myself by 2 shots in a texas scramble. Gareth also had 12 at the development classes. Great to see so many out enjoying themselves.      

ALEX GIVES ME A PUTTING LESSON

Yesterday Alex showed how good a putter he has become - also beating me 2 & 1. I knew I was up against it on the 2nd when he holed from 10ft and I missed from 4ft, a 25ft on the 5th, a 5ft on the 6th, a 7ft on the 7th, a 6ft on the 12th and a superb 15ft putt on the 15th for a half when I thought I was back in the match proved to me that Alex has mastered the short stick - very confident putting display -  8 single putts !!! - Donkey works. Won't be long until Alex becomes a single figure handicapper - target end of June.

Spoke with Gareth and the Juniors attending the Scottish Development coaching sessions and all are enjoying the experience and making the most of it. Looking forward to seeing the results when the season starts.

Sunday 5th of May sees Pitlochry host the Junior Mini-Foursomes so anyone with a Full Congu Handicap get yourself a partner and let me know you wish to enter.

2013 is going to be mammoth so I don't want anyone who wishes to be involved miss out on being part of Strathmore future success.

Gareth held the first of Strathmore's Scottish Development Centre's coaching sessions and informed me it was a great success.

Michael Brodie won the short game challenge at the Scottish Junior Golf Tour event at Drumoig. First win of 2013 and the seasons not started yet !!!!
