SEMI FINAL RESULTS

Last night saw the semi finals of both the Scratch and Handicap. No 1 seed Michael Brodie secured his place in the final by defeating Hannah Robb 2 up, Hannah had went into an early lead and it was only at the end that Michael managed to get ahead. In the second semi final existing Junior Club Champion Rory Tinker was 4 up at the turn but with Brad Bannerman having a birdie on the 10th and continuing to par the rest of the back 9 it took to the 16th before Rory eventually took his place in the final with Michael.
The Handicap final will be between Alex Simpson (who had a walk over) and Callum Ewan who had a tremendous match with Kirsty Brodie , after 18 holes they were all square and it took to the 22nd hole for the result to be confirmed.
Good Luck to all the finalist and please come along and support them on Saturday.

LADIES CHAMPIONSHIPS

Last nights Semi Final matches saw Hannah Robb playing number 1 seed and Scottish Internationalist Emily Ogilvy and Hannah should be proud of her play taking Emily to the 14th hole before losing out. 2nd seed Emily Aird took on Dawn Butchart who was attempting to reach her 11th final in a row and with the match all square after 9 Emily then produced some tremendous shots to birdie 10,12 and 14 and reach her 1st Strathmore Ladies Final by winning on the 16th. Good luck in the final from the Junior Section.

Kirsty Brodie played Sandra Barber in the Quarter Final of the Ladies Silver Rosebowl and also won on the 16th hole and now meets Sheena Scott in Monday nights Semi Final. Good luck from the Junior Section.

PERFECT START

Today saw our first Scratch League match , away at Milnathort. Allan Easton led out the team and found himself 5 down but fought back and with a birdie, par, birdie finish to win the last 3 holes and win 1 up. Rory Tinker had a tremendous 3&2 win. Emily Aird who was 1 up coming up the last birdied to close out her match 2 up. Hannah Robb also had a tremendous 4&2 win and Michael Brodie had already finished his match off 7&5. I am so proud of our team and this result is amazing Strathmore Juniors have come so far in in the last few years.

Before this result I believed we had a chance to qualify in the top 2 but after today I am convinced we can go one better and take the 1st qualifing spot in the semi finals. The team spirit shown was brilliant and it's great to have such a great group of kids to work with.

You should all be very proud of yourselves and well played !!!

BIG WEEKEND - SCOTTISH , COUNTY & CLUB

Allan Easton after continuing his unbeating run in the Gents Scratch League Team by winning his match on Friday against King James VI is off to Hayston, Glasgow to represent Perth and Kinross in the Dunfermline Building Society Scottish Boys Area Team Championship. Allan teams up with Bradley Neil, Sam Craigon and Greig Stewart.

The return leg of the Junior Bell Trophy took place at Pitlochry and our young team who took a 3/2 lead unfortunately lost 4/1 to lose out 6/4 on aggregate. Although our team was younger they all had to give shots which is a difficult thing to do on a course 4 of the team had never seen before. Our only winner was Rory Dyce (who has played the course once)

The 3rd Club Championship Qualifier took place with defending Champion Rory Tinker moving to the top of the seedings with a gross 77 and has a 4 shot advantage over Michael Brodie with Brad Bannerman only 2 shots behind. (Brad has already qualified to the last 8 in Blairgowrie Junior Club Championship and we wish him luck in his quarter final tie)
