PERTH AND KINROSS COUNTY GOLF ASSOCIATION MEETING

Tonight I attended a Junior Convenors Meeting at Craigie Hill and can confirm the same County Events held in 2009 will continue for season 2010. Our lowest handicap players will be invited to represent the club in the Scratch League. The Junior Bell Trophy format will again exclude category 1 players, all other players with a full Congu handicap are eligible for selection. The Junior Foursomes (which we are the holders of the Scratch Trophy thanks to Rory Tinker and Grant Martin) will again take place so organise yourself a partner. Brad Bannerman, Michael Brodie, John and Josh McKenna have been awarded three P & K under 14 coaching sessions at Noahs Ark and the dates and times have been confirmed as Sunday 21st Feb, Sunday 7th March and Sunday 28th March (12.30-2.00pm).

I look forward to another year of success for Strathmore Juniors so start practicing now!

COULD THIS BE GRASS

A mysterious green coloured plant has been discovered by Jackie Moran growing under some melting snow and ice it would appear to be attached to the earths surface and Jackie thinks it could be converted into some sort of playing surface like the ones you can see on television from foreign countries like South Africa and Hawaii. Hopefully this is not a Dundee phenomenon and soon this recently extinct plant will resurface somewhere near Alyth. If anyone spots this please let us know.
