Junior Texas Scramble/Prize Giving

Sunday saw 5 teams of 4 for the Texas Scramble and scoring was very good. The winners of the Texas Scramble with a winning score of 28 were: Rory Dyce, John McKenna and Cooper Smith with their adult leader Jackie Moran.

After the Texas Scramble, Iain said a few words which highlighted the achievements the juniors have made over the past year, and then it was the Prize Giving. Below is a slide show of all the photos, if you want any photo click on the slide show and then download the photos you want!

P&K WINTER COACHING

PERTH & KINROSS BOYS UNDER 14 WINTER COACHING

Brilliant news the 2 under 14 boys I nominated for Winter Coaching have been invited to attend a Talent Identification Day at Gleneagles on Sunday 31st October. Alex Simpson has confirmed his attendance and Brad Bannerman will no doubt confirm his attendance on his return from holiday. I still await a response to my other nominations for the under 16 and under 18 for Winter Coaching which will be confirmed after the SGU announce their Winter Coaching plans.

GREAT SCORING

Rory Dyce and Josh McKenna end the season on a high

On Wednesday Josh McKenna shot a gross 80 nett 69 to win the Summer League Card 7 and yesterday Rory Dyce scored a gross 76 nett 65 to win the Transco Cup (Gents Medal Winners Trophy) well done to you both. Great scoring.

HANDICAP UPDATE

FERGUS HAS HANDICAP

Fergus Walker is the latest of the Strathmore Juniors to obtain a fun handicap. Fergus played with Junior Convenor Iain for his last card and has gained a handicap of 54. This means Fergus is now eligible to take part in the Winter League which is now in full swing!! Details are on the Notice Board.

LADIES WIN SCRATCH LEAGUE

STRATHMORE LADIES WIN SCRATCH LEAGUE

Last night Strathmore Ladies were confirmed as 2010 Perth and Kinross Scratch League Champions for the 1st time. Great result ladies and the Junior Section are proud of the contribution Emily Aird, Megan Aird and Hannah Robb made towards your success. Well done.

REMINDER

JUNIOR AGM AND PRIZEGIVING

It's almost the end of 2010 season and the Junior AGM and Prizegiving will take place on October 17th. Before the AGM we will be holding a Texas Scramble over the wee course, no handicaps required. We will tee off at 1.30pm so be there for around 1pm. Sign in sheets are in the Club House or just give me a call or email me and I will be happy to put on your name up!

With a score of 32 points Kirsty finished only 5 points behind the winner today at Club Golfs Junior Masters final. Well done from all the section.
