Golfed today at Tamworth Golf Club. After the recent drought they were glad to have had some rain as before we arrived only the tees and greens had any green grass all the rest were dried out and brown. Local rule is lift and place within a card length anywhere on the course, sometimes not possible. Had great fun. Have seen Strathmore’s weather the last couple of weekends has not been great but hopefully it will improve and you can all get back out playing.

ANOTHER GREAT TURNOUT
Today 10 youngsters and 4 adults took part in our latest family fun event. We played a Texas Scramble and 2 shots covered the field. Blair, Conan, Keir, Iain and Dawn ran out winners with a 1 under par 26 including 2 birdies and 1 bogey. Blair, Cammy and Stuart had been out for 9 holes on the big course before joining us and Stuart started with 4 pars, which bodes well for the season ahead. Some great play by the juniors today and it proves that playing regularly on the course improves all aspects of your game. The enthusiasm shown by this group is very encouraging and it will be interesting to see the handicaps tumbling down at the start of the season.
