BEST ROUND BY A JUNIOR I HAVE EVER WITNESSED

Tonight I had the pleasure to witness Michael Brodie not only join the 60's Club but smash his way into it  !!!!
Michael's card -
4-4-4-2-4-2-4-4-4= 32 (4 under)
4-4-4-4-4-3-4-3-5= 35 (1 under)
                                67 (5 under)
This round included an up and down from the green side bunker on the 1st, lip out for a 3 on the  2nd, birdies on 4,5 & 6 followed by up and downs on 7,8,9 - 4 under at the turn. A birdie on 12 followed by a  superb 4 on 13 including visiting both bunkers !! A great 2nd shot from the rough on 15 to 1ft for a birdie. A brilliant up and down on 16 and an even better one on 17 with a 20ft putt from off the green. Trying to keep Michael calm, we had never discussed scores, I tried to talk about anything else but Michael after hitting a great drive pulled his 2nd shot and found the left rough, wanting to take the front bunker out of play his 3rd shot went over the green but a 15ft putt saw an incredible round of 67!!! Putting stats an amazing 23.

PS Glad we weren't playing donkey tonight,  but now the course record is in sight !!

I cannot believe how how much we have achieved over the last 4 years -Scratch League Finalists , Senior Club Champions ,  a County Stroke Play Champion and 2 National Champions. I know we have achieved so much but I see so much potential from today's Juniors and the ones we are bringing through that I believe that in the future we can achieve so much more. Please Strathmore Juniors keep believing anything is possible and it is.
