All 5 girls attending the Girls Hubs joined today taking our total Junior membership to 104, the first time ever we’ve hit 3 figures. All girls were given Strathmore Scholarship places and a set of clubs funded by the Alyth Development Trust. We now have 77 sets of clubs hired out on an annual basis, another record. Their final session took place today on the course and they played a Texas Scramble. Anna surprised herself on the first with how far her drive went ! All 4 girls attending today hit some nice shots and they now know where they go out on the course to play. The highlight this morning was Anna securing her first par on the 2nd hole. Her drive landed on the double green nearer the 7th pin but her putt from 35ft got to within 18 inches and she holed out. High 5’s all round. Kirsten unfortunately lost by 1 hole in the Scottish Girls net match play at Auchterarder but Cormac won his last 8 match 5&3 and his quarter final match 2&1 to progress to the semi final’s tomorrow of the Scottish Boys Amateur match play. Our best wishes go to him. Conan had the best score today in the last Club Championship Qualifier back at Strathmore. Tomorrow is building up nicely to our final Bells Salver match at home to Milnathort.
