ANOTHER RECORD TUMBLES

I accompanied Amy Mitchell and Conor Hughes to see how their games were progressing and witnessed some incredible golf. Remembering they play off 34 &24, Amy was on the 1st green in 4 and Connor pin high in 3. Conor kicked off his round with 3 straight pars and managed another 6 = 9 pars which is amazing for a 24 handicapper who returned a gross 86 - 45 out 41 in. A net 62 sees him reducing his handicap for a 4th consecutive round  - and another new record ! Conor has reduced his handicap from 33 to 21 over 4 rounds - what can I say? superb and the support he gave to Amy on the way round was brilliant. Amy recorded her first ever birdie in spectacular fashion on the 3rd hole after finding herself under the lip of the green side bunker splashed out and after 2 bounces the ball rolled out to find the bottom of the cup!  The scary thing is when they improve their short games it will be even better. Alex Simpson shot a gross 78 net 69 to finish 2nd.

Kirsty Brodie helped North Division secure 2 victories in the SLGA Girls inter divisional Championship over East and West and they can secure the trophy with a win over South tomorrow at Glenisla.

Michael Brodie helped the Gents Scratch League team to a 5&0 win over Dunkeld last night and another win against King James VI on Thursday.

What next ?? Scratch League tomorrow and Junior Bell next Saturday can't wait.
