MONDAY NIGHT A BIG SUCCESS

6 teams took part - 6 adults and 6 youngsters and Archie and Dawn beat Isla and I with a better last 6.
This is so much fun playing Golfsixes with the youngsters. Jaki and Rhoda played for the first time and it won’t be their last time. All the juniors who are playing in these events are improving and putting the coaching into practice and it is showing.
More breaking news - Archie and Keegan are off to compete in the Scottish Open next week (a bit ahead of schedule) I am so proud of these two who are forming the backbone of our Golfsixes Team but I know they will soon play themselves out of this by gaining Congu handicaps and begin to compete at a higher level. For a 7 and 8 year olds they show so much potential and I for one can’t wait to see how they get on in the Drive, chip and putt competition. Not only that but the 2 of them have paired up for our inaugural Golfsixes Junior Open which will definitely take place as Adrian and Lochlan have also entered and that would make a great match up.
Another enquiry about membership tonight and another member wishes to join the Scheme which would take us up to 47 sets this year. Our swapping up is going full tilt with Isla, James (John) and Katie all trading in.
Success breeds success and what is happening at Strathmore is beyond my and our wildest dreams, but as they say you get out what you put in, and all the hard work over the years is continuing to pay off big style.
