STRATHMORE HOSTS THE GOLFSIXES

What a brilliant day !!! Firstly I would like to thank Dawn, Jackie and Frankie for their help, support and commitment. Without that things would not happen. I will continue with the thanks, David and Peter for allowing us to use the Rannaleroch course and making it a shotgun start which meant everyone finished at the same time. This worked superbly. Joint Junior Captain Megan who administered the putting competition. John in the office for all his help with admin etc. Dan for setting up the tables and the catering staff for the food and drinks and finally the green keeping staff for the condition of the course.

The six teams thoroughly enjoyed the experience and we watched some amazing golf reflected in the scores. We played holes 1 to 6 had a longest drive on the 7th then a nearest the pin on the 9th on Leitfie and a challenge on the putting green.

We had 3 players making debuts Conan, Liam and Lochlan and I was so impressed by their play and all that coaching is paying dividends. I had one of the of the others Team managers saying how impressed he was with Archie and Keegan’s ability at such a young age and Archie is helping to build Chloe’s confidence to become the player we all know she will be. The team spirit is infectious and with Adrian (the joker) still to make his debut I believe our players will just get better and better.
We finished 2nd today to a strong Carnoustie team only 2 points behind them but with 3 events to go we can still do it. This event is amazing as it’s bringing youngster together in a fun competitive environment and giving them a chance to play other courses and meet new friends.
