STRATHMORE JUNIOR OPEN RESULTS

Our juniors take top honours today. Michael Brodie with a gross 2 under par 70 and Kirsty Brodie a gross 81 won both scratch trophies and Amy Mitchell won the girls handicap trophy with a nett 70. Alex Simpson won the scratch under 14 event with a 79 and Brad Bannerman took 3rd place in the over 14 section with a nett 68. Great scores and I am so proud of all our prize winners. We had 43 boys and 6 girls taking part and I would like to thank the Centre for their continuing support of the Open.

SCRATCH LEAGUE DEFENCE ENDS IN DISAPPOINTMENT

Muckhart ended our hopes of a place in the semi finals with a 5v0 win over Pitlochry but our team can hold their heads high by being undefeated in all 3 league matches (2 of which were away from home)

RECORDS TUMBLE YET AGAIN

I have been out of action for a few days celebrating the Wedding of my beautiful daughter Alana.

Whilst away some more amazing things have happened. Michael Brodie has become our very first junior to achieve a scratch handicap. Alex Simpson shot his first ever level par round. Louise Bloor attained a club handicap handicap of 44. And I will update you soon on some other great developments.
   

ALYTH IS VENUE FOR JUNIOR BELL TROPHY SEMI FINAL

The venue and times have now been confirmed for the Junior Bell Trophy Semi-final, Blairgowrie v Strathmore.

 

Sunday 25th August at Alyth, 3:19 first tee off.

7 birdies helped Michael Brodie and myself gain revenge over Scott and Chris after losing in last years final and secured our place in this years semi finals. Our putting made the difference tonight. Close match which went to the 18th.
