BUSY WEEKEND STARTS TODAY

Alex Simpson kicked off the Easter weekend today at Archerfield representing Scotland against Ireland and with partner Marc Watt secured a half in the foursomes helping the home team to a 2.5 v 1.5 morning lead but he lost his afternoon singles match against Sean Downing 3&2. Scotland halved the match 6v6 and take on Wales who lost to Netherlands 4.5 v 7.5 tomorrow then face the Dutch on Sunday in what could be the title decider. Kirsty Brodie is off to a 2 day Scottish Academy golf camp at St Andrews.
Tomorrow sees Glenisla host the P&K Boys stroke play with Brad Bannerman, Tod Bannerman, Marcus Ryan and Conor Hughes teeing it up in the main competition with Amy Mitchell and Megan Ashley also playing a counting round for handicap purposes. 
Sunday then sees Amy Mitchell attempting to retain Strathmore's stranglehold on the u14 coaching Medal at the Wee Course Blairgowrie. 
Best wishes also go to past Junior Michael Brodie who heads to Leven for the Gents Champion of Champions held over 72 holes on Saturday and Sunday.
How far we have come in such a short space of time and how proud I am of all our Juniors present and past !!! And let's see what surprises the weekend brings
