Kirsty Brodie kicked the day off with a superb 4&3 win to progress to the quarter finals of the P&K Ladies championship but unfortunately lost out to past champion Jillian Milne 2&1, great effort and she will have gained huge experience and confidence from knowing how far her game has progressed. Michael only missed the cut by 4 shots in the Scottish Youths stroke play Championship and a lost ball yesterday and an out of bounds by 6 inches today combined with 4 x 3 putts over the 2 days shows how close his game is to being competitive at the top level.
Past juniors Hannah Robb lost out at the same stage as Kirsty and Rory Tinker made the cut tied 21st and only 8 behind the leader at the Scottish Youths.
Coaching was great this morning with new member Caitlin Sellen excelling on the putting green.
"Killer" putting head to head results Iain v Gareth is 2 v 0.
The Junior Medal today produced some tremendous scores. Marcus Ryan won with a 82 nett 63, Tod 77 nett 65, Ben Anderson 101 nett 66 and Alex Simpson 77 nett 67. What amazing scores once again.
Every week you raise the bar higher and every week you jump higher. Not only in your play but in your behaviour on the course, I was complimented on your etiquette today by the ladies county players. You were aware of the matches catching up and you stood aside to let them play through.
Strathmore Juniors are winners in more than one way. Thanks - you make my role so pleasurable it's easy to accept compliments.
